Emergency Road Closure at Proctor Road (CR1) and School Street

Effective: February 3, 2012

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE:

Repair to a broken watermain in the intersection of Proctor Road(CR 1) and School Street will take place today February, 3, 2012. Expect traffic control and crews working in the area. Proctor Road will be reduced to a single lane in each direction. The traffic control system will be turned off and the intersection at Proctor Road and School Street will be changed to a 4-way stop during the work. The repair to the waterline is scheduled for 4:00 pm but surface removal and preparatory work will begin sometime this morning. If the work goes as planned, the street should be fully opened to traffic by early Saturday morning.

Motorists can expect delays traveling through the work zone this afternoon and evening. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes if possible.

This project is that of the Elk River Municipal Utilities. Any calls or concerns can be directed to them at 763-441-2020.
