Sherburne County periodically hosts a Minnesota DNR Youth Firearms Safety Certification class.
This class is the “Field Day” for students who have completed the 8-10 hour Hunter Course, which can be found here.

The student must be 11 years old before training date to be able to participate in the class. A parent or guardian must attend the first 30 minutes of the Field Day.
Students must bring the following to class: Field Day voucher, copy of birth certificate, bag lunch, blaze orange article of clothing (i.e. hat, cap or vest), survival kit in small bag/backpack (info on survival kit is with the online course).
Dress for the weather!! Plan to be outside for 4 hours.
Firearms used for testing will be provided; do not bring any firearms to training.
