Family Home Visiting

Family home visiting is committed to the health and well-being of families in our county. This service for pregnant women, their partners, and to families with young children provides education and support to help families to reach their needs.

Public Health Nurses

Public Health Nurses visit families at home, school, or another convenient location to assure healthy pregnancies and support families in creating a healthy, nurturing environment for their children.

Home Visits

Home visits are voluntary and tailored to individual family interests and needs. Nurses engage mothers and fathers in a variety of discussions about:

  • Breastfeeding
  • Child development
  • Family planning
  • Infant care
  • Nutrition
  • Parenting
  • Pregnancy health
  • Safety

Public Health Nurses also support families in reaching their goals and help them to connect with supportive networks within their own community.
